Alicia McDonald (she/her/hers)

Everyone struggles sometimes, but when you find yourself struggling most of the time, it is important to seek out the help you need to move through your difficulties. Taking the first step toward healing is challenging for many people. Coming this far in your search for a counselor shows you are ready to move forward on your journey toward healing. I believe you have the inner wisdom to know what is best for you and I am there to support and guide you through what we together identify as areas in need of evolution, healing, or balance.

 

Training: I received a Master of Science Degree in Mental Health Counseling in 2014 from Capella University. My clinical background has afforded me the opportunity to gain experience working with diverse populations and treating clients with a wide range of mental, behavioral, and emotional issues. I am also a Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional and have advanced training in sex therapy.

 

Specialties: Anxiety, sex and sexuality, men’s issues and issues

specific to the LGBTQIA+ community and relationships, including working with people practicing ethical non-monogamy and alternative

relationship styles.

 

Treatment Orientations: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness Based Practices and Person Centered.

 

My Message to You: In a safe and supportive environment where you are free to be your most authentic self, I am waiting for you to begin this journey together. Francesca Festa (she/her/hers)

I am dedicated to supporting your journey toward healing and balance, and helping you live a gratifying life. I believe in the collaborative nature of the counseling process. We will work together to understand your needs, identify goals, and take steps toward achieving them. I am ready to listen to your story and help you move forward.

 

Training: I received a Master in Clinical Health Psychology at the University of Florence (Italy) and a Master in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Ohio State University. I also furthered my education by becoming a Certified Wellness Counselor. Over the past 15 years, I have been practicing in a variety of settings working with different age groups, mental health conditions, and ethnicities. This diverse professional background helped me develop a culturally-sensitive and strength-based approach to mental health and wellness that highly informs the work with my clients. 

 

Specialties: Anxiety and stress, life transitions, infertility, pregnancy and post-partum, and relationship issues. 

 

Treatment Orientations: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Person-Centered. 

 

My message to you: Seeking help can be hard. I strive to create a welcoming and comfortable space, and to adapt my sessions to your unique needs and strengths. I am eager to help you find ways to enhance your life and develop skills to manage the challenges you encounter. Knowing your needs will change as you grow, I am here to work together to find what works best for you.

 

Training: I received a Master in Clinical Counseling from the Chicago School for Professional Psychology. Over the past 10 years, I have worked in a number of different settings with varying ages and populations. This has helped me adapt my treatment skills to the needs of the individual and provided me with a greater understanding of the unique challenges faced by the clients with whom I work. 

 

Specialties: Anxiety and stress, working with Veterans, men’s mental health issues, and relational issues.

Molly McClenathan (she, her, hers)

Asking for help is hard, and I’m really glad you’re here! I am dedicated to working with you to help you meet your goals and live the life that you want. Our time together is yours and I want you to get the most out of it.

 

Training: I received my Master’s Degree in Education and certificate of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton. I am dual licensed as a school counselor and as a professional counselor. I am experienced working with a diverse population, range of ages, and have treated a multitude of concerns in the private practice setting. 

 

Specialties: Anxiety, depression, life transitions, relational issues, and educator concerns.

 

Treatment Orientations: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Person-centered

 

My message to you: You are the expert of your life and I’m here to help guide you towards healing and meeting your goals. I strive to create a relaxed environment where we can get to the root of what is causing you pain. Although therapy can be heavy at times, my sessions are often lightened with laughter. It can be incredibly healing.  I believe that the relationship between a therapist and client is what determines success in therapy, let’s see if we would be a good fit!
